She knows he doesn't really care about her. It's not like she has any desire to make this a lasting relationship herself. She doesn't even know why she kissed him in the first place, except maybe that she was hurting and alone because everyone else had someone, even Zell with that girl from the library.
Still, she appreciates that he doesn't just get up and walk out when they're done, even going so far as to hold her cuddled against his side.
"You're beautiful," he says, almost absently, and even if he doesn't mean it, she's grateful for the lie.
