Summary: Seifer breaks free.

He felt it, the moment Leonhart's gunblade sliced deep into her and the magic binding them snapped like a rubber band stretched too far, leaving his mind echoingly empty. She had been drawing on his strength for the last half of the fight, using their bond to displace the pain of her injuries onto him. Her presence was gone, and his mind was his own again.
It was a very lonely feeling.
Seifer tilted his head back and studied the menacing grey clouds overhead. At Garden, he'd longed to indulge his romantic dream of being the sorceress's knight. Once he'd sworn his service to Ultimecia and found out just how far reality was from his dreams, he'd longed to break free and do as he wished.
Now that he was free to choose his own path, he felt lost.
