As I said, this fic made me like a trio I... can see but don't generally feel, so, yeah. And I can totally see Kain being the one to keep Edge in check/ be his straight man, because... Edge is so much the kind of prince who needs someone waiting in the wings to kick his ass, unlike Cecil, if that makes any sense?

(I think one of the things that I love about K/R/C is how much work they have to do to be together, if that also makes sense?)

And, oh, I get the "my life, my choices". Stupid amounts of half-written headcanon, here.
