The sun beats down, nearly a physical force. It’s not as bad as the searing pain of Agi, but the heat is oppressive. He misses the cool rain of the Junkyard, and the dimness; this brilliance renders him half-blind.
He spits out gritty dirt, and sticks close to the buildings to minimize his exposure. He hasn't forgotten the lessons of the Junkyard, not yet.
He refuses to look back. There's nothing for him there. He has to find his comrades in this blasted wasteland.
Serph faces into the wind and bares his teeth. He will not let it devour him.
