Three men ascended Mount Gagazet, and two returned. Braska trusted to Auron's vigilance to keep him from injuring himself; the Final Aeon tugged at his consciousness, Jecht's personality threaded with Yunalesca's power. The call of Sin drawing him to the Calm Lands beat endlessly in his ears. Auron was resentful and worried, turning fiends to mincemeat with a fury quite unlike his usual cold precision. Braska's senses were stretched to the breaking point, and all his attention turned inward, holding Jecht in check until they could reach the Calm Lands.
But he wished it didn't have to be this way.
