He's turned into a good King. Rydia can admit that, watching him deal with the business of Eblan. He's good at handling the annoying details with all the charm and humour he once directed at her.
She gets frustrated with the social niceties of being the Queen, and longs for the straightforward simplicity of the Land of Summons. It doesn't help that Edge is so busy that he rarely has time for her anymore.
She can't live like this for much longer, but she still loves him, so she stays, and every day it gets a little harder to smile.
