She promised him power, and the whirl of images She pressed into his brain left him shaking, sweaty, unable to do anything but absorb them with a reckless awe for what She could do. He fought for Her and tortured for Her, believing She would give him that glory.
And then, when the damned SeeDs defeated him and Edea, She turned from him, and gave all that gorgeous power to Rinoa. She rejected Her knight. Timber's spoilt little princess received the power meant for him and Seifer lay on the floor of a tiny cell, abandoned while Rinoa was exalted.
