ff_exchange's first round. Her request was "Something clumsy with Kain as a youth, coming into his own, and how his view of the world grew so sour. I would love there to be a running motif of wind, as apropos of his name." (I told Kain to keep it brief, but he wouldn't listen.) This fic is part of my Lucis Ante Terminum arc, which deals heavily with internal politics in Baron that I presume must exist, but are not referenced in the game.
